Throughout the summer, the great houses of Castle Howard, Sledmere, Duncombe Park, Rievaulx Abbey and Burton Agnes Hall are open to the public and are all within easy reach. Popular Eden Camp at Malton is 17 miles and from Pickering (25 miles) you can board the famous North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway to journey over the 'Heartbeat' moorlands towards Whitby. Lakeland park with watersports and fly fishing, golf and gliding within 2 miles. Dining pub 1 mile.
