Dolgellau and Harlech, with its magnificent castle and championship golf course, are both 10 miles distant, and the nearby Fairbourne narrow gauge steam railway promises an unforgettable trip – accessed from the pedestrian ferry at Barmouth’s harbour quayside. Shops pubs and restaurants are found in Barmouth (1 mile) and the town also hosts the Three Peaks race and a music festival in summer. Pub serving food 300 yards.
