This charming 17th century detached holiday cottage is quietly tucked away in the heart of the picturesque and busy little lakeside town of Pooley Bridge. Standing just a stones throw from the lake, Ullswater is one of the most beautiful in the Lake District. There are stunning lakeside walks, accessible beach areas and the steam boat which glides majestically on the lake and is a wonderful way to enjoy the scenery. Bike hire along with an array of gift shops, tea rooms, pubs and restaurants are all within a few hundred yards. Walking from the doorstep for all abilities is superb and water sports are also available on the lake. The road winds along the full length of the lake going over the awesome Kirkstone Pass which drops down into Windermere and Ambleside making this an excellent base for exploring the Lake District National Park.
