Within easy reach of the attractive ’Riviera’ resorts of Torquay and Paignton, with its famous zoo, overlooking Torbay with a summer-long list of regattas, music and art festivals, and Dartmouth, home to the Naval College, from where enjoyable boat trips can be taken up river to Totne and NT properties at Coleton Fishacre. Slightly further afield is the great beach at Slapton Sands, the South West Coastal Path, Salcombe, a yachting and water sport centre, and Kingsbridge up the estuary.
