Lovers of history will want to explore Sutton Hoo (NT) and Framlingham Castle, bird watchers and walking enthusiasts can head to RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Forest and Heath. Snape Maltings concert hall and shopping village is well worth a visit, and at the sophisticated little seaside town of Aldeburgh fish and chips are a must. At elegant Southwold, the summer theatre is ever popular. Nearby Thorpeness is the setting for the famous’ House in the Clouds’ folly and also offers a boating mere. Golf and fishing are also found close by. Shop and pub serving food 2 miles.
