Tavern Cottage, Nook, Cumbria
Perfectly located for delightful holidays exploring The Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria’s coast, this absolutely charming cottage enjoys panoramic views across fields to Farleton Knott. Originally a 17th century barn adjoining Tavern House, the owner’s home, and sharing their beautiful gardens, it sits in the tiny hamlet of Nook alongside the main route east to the pretty market town of Kirkby Lonsdale on the edge of the Dales (6 miles). Equidistant to the north is Kendal, gateway to the Lakes, whilst to the west lie the historic villages of Arnside (6 miles) and Silverdale on the Morecombe Bay coastline, a designated area of outstanding natural beauty thanks to its rich diversity of habitats.
