Seaspray, St. Bees

At just 40 strides from the RNLI slipway to the beach at St Bees (right photograph), this unassuming single storey property enjoys the most remarkable position on the promenade. Large windows face the Irish Sea across promenade parking, whilst a few hundred yards to the north, St Bees Head rises dramatically above holiday caravans: a glorious Heritage coastline forming the start of the famous Coast to Coast Walk linking the west and east coasts of England. Inside, Seaspray merges style with warmth and comfort – an ideal base from which to explore miles of beaches and coves reached only on foot, wild landscapes and historic ports such as nearby Whitehaven, the last British port to be invaded by America in 1778, whilst journeys from the local rail staion (0.5 miles) run along and over coastal waters. Shop and pub 100 yards.
