Tucked away on a quiet little country lane, Spring Cottage is located in the High Weald of Oustanding Natural Beauty, and boasts stunning views, peace and quiet and total privacy. Hidden away behind electric gates with shrubs and little pathways on three sides it has a superb position, totally private from neighbouring cottages. As head port of the Cinque Ports Confederation, Winchelsea spent more than a century as one of the major ports of the kingdom. Although quieter today, there are many reminders of days past. In addition to the historical buildings, quaint shops and restaurants and pubs that abound in the area, there are several beaches to choose from and plenty of choices for walkers, cyclists and bird watchers. Fairlight Cliffs and Country Park are just a few minutes’ drive.
