Rose Cottage, Maidens, nr. Turnberry
This traditional cottage, just a couple of minutes’ walk from the beach which overlooks the Isle of Arran (as pictured) is a great place from which to explore the south-west coast of Scotland; with a mixture of sandy and rocky bays running its length. You can walk from this holiday cottage to Culzean castle (NTS) Country Park, and just over 1 mile away is the Championship Turnberry Golf Course. Ayr is 15 miles north with good shopping and cafés, and it is just another mile to Alloway, the National Heritage Centre (NTS) of Robert Burns. Day trips can be taken to Ireland from Stranraer or to Arran from Ardrossan. Relax in the sunny garden with summer house and enjoy the view from the master bedroom over the Firth of Clyde.
